The Sky is the Limit
Hello, my name is Anthony Lau. I make coffee the way that I like, every weekday for 5 days totalling up to around 35hrs in a week. I used to make coffee the way that my second boss and former mentor Jeremy likes, another 8-25hrs a day on top of that. Two styles, two mentalities- but both backed by an undeniable passion for service and quality. I happen to like coffee a lot, and I feel no sense of better accomplishment than seeing my best efforts being enjoyed by anyone and everyone.
I like to stand on the soap box and shout- sometimes this turns off the people that don't know me cos they think I think I know everything. But scratch the surface and you'll see that I'm very open to testing everyone's ideas on what can be done better and how I can improve on myself. I have an honours degree in Psychology, which I barely passed. Coming to think about it, I assed my way into getting the degree, I do not think that I deserved it. That's how I feel about the situation now. So moving on, what did I gain from that experience? The ability to present clear and sometimes logical arguments in writing- but hardly ever in a concise form, as well as the inability to use good sentence structure *sigh* I still have what I believe to be some fairly rusty research methodologies- ie- the scientific method- that has stayed with me even into this job. Test, test, test. If it tastes good, stay with it. Hopefully my tastebuds are a good guide for the customers! Anyway, this is my blog, thankyou for stopping by.
